Financial Controller

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join the finance team of our client, an international logistics company with offices in Antwerp.

Taken

• You are responsible for the development and implementation of financial policies and their follow-up in terms of compliance, balance sheet control, consolidation and translation to IFRS;
• You are in charge of the financial reporting to the management team and headquarters;
• You exercise control over daily accounting activities and act as a bridge between accounting and controlling;
• You monitor financial processes and ensure their compliance with local and international standards;
• You coordinate internal control procedures and engage in process optimization where possible;
• You perform financial analyses and present your insights to senior management;
• You are responsible for consolidating financial data from the assigned regions and translate them to IFRS standards;
• You will collaborate with local teams to streamline financial processes and promote efficiency;
• You will travel approximately 2x per year to Ghana, Vietnam and Ivory Coast to review financial activities and support local teams;
• You will support and monitor local projects.

Profiel

• You obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• You can present 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international logistics context;
• You have a good basic knowledge of IFRS and an interest in local accounting standards;
• You have practical experience with accounting processes and systems;
• You display strong analytical skills and you are able to think critically;
• You have excellent communication skills;
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
