Our client is a fast moving company who is looking for a right-hand of the CEO to increase its market share in Belgium and accelerate its presence in the Benelux and France through a combination of organic growth and further acquisitions. He/She will be spearheading the company through this exciting period of growth in Belgium and abroad.
As an active member of senior management and as a sparring partner to the regional businesses, he/she will actively steer the organization towards value growth in line with long term plan.
Taken
Statutory / Management / Lender reporting
- Ensure full transparency on the group's and entities’ financial performance;
- Monthly financial reporting (consolidated and entities):
o P&L
o Balance sheet
o Cash flow and liquidity
- Financial and operational KPI reporting (group and entities)
- Quarterly lender reporting (group)
Business Controlling / Budgeting
- Develop procedures and controls to support annual budgeting / long-term planning and strategies in an efficient manner;
- Coordinate the budget- and long-term planning cycle (group, with input from entities);
- Analyze budget variance and coordinate in-year LE re-forecasting;
- Mobilize specific projects and business cases with the operational and management teams, to develop any insightful analyses;
- Taking the lead in short and mid-term budgeting, with a highly involved inside knowledge of the businesses needs and opportunities, and strategic insight in the long-term potential of the different Business Units;
- Assess, evaluate and control financial performance with regards to long-term operational goals and budgets;
Liquidity & Financing Management
- Develop monthly in-house cash flow consolidation and liquidity planning system;
- Manage financing commitments (as per SFA) in line with the business’ liquidity needs (incl. for acquisitions), and seek appropriate additional financing solutions where needed;
- Guard the Group’s cash flow, ensuring strong control on working capital and capital expenditure;
- Build a strong working relationship with investors and the financing parties
Strategic projects
- Continuous improvement of financial and operational KPI reporting across the Group;
- Further process, reporting and dashboard automation;
- Sponsor and co-lead implementation of group ERP across all regional entities;
- Ad-hoc cost & profitability management;
Corporate Finance / M&A
- Participate in Financial, Tax and Legal due diligence and support negotiations leading to acquisitions (together with Chairman, CEO and Rivean);
- Assess sources & uses for upcoming acquisitions, identify appropriate tax structuring, and coordinate appropriate financing;
- Coordinate post-acquisition integration of financial and operational reporting (with integration manager and relevant regional entities), execute financial and legal structure;
People Management
- Day-to-day management and people coaching of the regional Finance Managers in the local offices;
- Further development of Group Finance function and capabilities as the group grows;
Profiel
Master degree in an economical/financial direction;
Solid experience in M&A financed by Private Equity;
Extensive financial knowledge: accounting, consolidation, management reporting, tax;
A clear view on figures with an analytical and pragmatic mindset;
Strong in budget control, margin analysis and margin monitoring;
Able to implement management reporting and KPI’s fully automated;
IT minded;
Can-do-mentality, both operational & strategic thinker, with a strong drive for improvement and process optimization.
Outstanding leadership & management skills
A strong backbone to challenge the CEO and the Board substantively
Language skills Dutch and English (French is added value)
